The Parable

The great teachers always conveyed the truth of their message by concealing it within shrouded stories called parables . The purpose of a parable is to cover the real meaning behind the story, so that only those who are capable of understanding it or willing to put forth enough effort to find the meaning, will do so. This effort or ability is literally a type of spiritual or mental test to sift away those who do not care about the significance of the teaching, because that concern (or lack thereof) is truly an outward sign of the heart or ‘spiritual fortitude’ of the person.

We find this explanation taught in the Bible in Matthew 13:10-17 where we read: And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

This explanation by Esu (Jesus) can help us understand the importance of honing our spiritual or mental 'eyes and ears' so we can gain the deeper, more fulfilling understanding on many levels. Many people in the world today, however, are overcome with the cares of life and they have become spiritually insensitive and more sadly, often simply don’t care. If more people understood the powerful messages hidden underneath the language, like the one I am going to share with you, they would take the time to understand the importance of these deeper  spiritual teachings. They are full of life-bringing information!

One of the most important prophecies to understand when uncovering the meaning of the Abomination of Desolation  , is that given by Esu (Jesus) in the Prophecy of the Parable of the Fig Tree . So, what is the importance of this prophecy and what significance does it have for us, today? Let's look at This Special Tree...
